[Package from the Pidgey Delivery Service! Among its contents are a knit hat, scarf, and mittens of blended pastels from sky blue to lavender to rosy pink. Atop it all is a handwritten note.]
Angel, I hope you’re doing well. I enjoyed seeing you in Ecruteak last month and I look forward to spending more time together at some point. In the meantime, I trust these will help keep you warm this winter. Anders
[The members of the inn might be relatively alarmed by the delighted squeal that came from Angel's room. It took her only seconds to pull on her new clothing items, and a second more to snap a photo. She sent it off to Anders with a note of her own.]
This is a perfect gift. Thank you very much, Anders. You are a good man and, even better, a good friend.
[Contrary to his earlier statement, Anders actually can provide an extra bit of heat, in a roundabout way. Tiny had caught on to his arranged meeting with Angel and insisted on being the one to accompany him. The pair wait just inside the Center, as promised, the Ponyta standing comfortably near her trainer and even seeking his hand to nuzzle.]
[Unfortunately for Anders, he'd picked the wrong companion. Angel's eyes fell upon the mage only for a second, before she was completely distracted by the pony beside him. Approaching quickly but carefully, the girl knelt before the pokemon and wrapped her arms around its neck.]
I've missed you, my friend. [Angel blinked, then looked up at the blond.] And... er-- You too, of course.
[Angel's laugh was a delighted one, and she returned the nuzzle with a kiss to the star on Tiny's head. After a moment of consideration, she gave the horse another one, before finally standing and embracing her other friend.]
I could say the same. [After all, it was the first time she'd actually been able to celebrate. The thought almost threatened to break her smile. Instead, she traced a hand down to Anders' own, clutching it gently.]
hey um uh sorry this is really weird and completely out of the blue and you dont even know me but i saw you talking to your dad??? on the network just now and i just kind of wanted to ask if you were ok
You know it's... almost humorous how okay I am at the moment. I have spent a great many years dealing with this sort of behavior. Jack will never accept responsibility for what happened.
I don't know why I bother, to be quite honest.
My name is Angel. Please do not feel weird about reaching out. I appreciate it.
i mean no problem i just saw he wasnt listening to you at all not REALLY listening so i thought maybe itd help to know someone was listening is listening
It is normal for him to not do so. He did that for most of my life. I am sure you've managed to surmise as much but he is not a good man. He has done a great many awful things, both to myself and to the general populace.
I appreciate you offering to listen but... it is a rather grim tale and I would not want for you to have to suffer it. It is enough to know that someone else has noticed the type of man Jack is. The more people know, the less people will be hurt by him in the end.
yeah honestly like i felt weird a couple times when i talked with him before but i figured he was just an asshole and there are plenty of assholes i count my best friends but anyone who talks like that to to someone they hurt and makes it out like that persons the badguy for all the things THEYVE done thats not being an asshole anymore thats do not engage levels of motherfuckery
And now you know. Sometimes that is the best I can hope for. And perhaps that he really will get into a skiing accident. Even if death is not possible here.
Still, all this makes for unpleasant conversation. I'm sorry that this has to be the first way we interacted.
haha dont worry about it ive had unpleasanter so hey have you been here long usually im pretty good at keeping up with people in my general age bracket so its kind of funny we havent talked before
I've been here since September, I believe. Close to five months now. I have... kept relatively quiet in regards to the networks. I think you can see why.
yeah i dont blame you if i was in anything even close to your situation id probably go underground like literally underground wild dave used dig it was hella effective theres a bunch of us out in goldenrod though i think for good reasons you might not be here too kids our age i mean
