[Razor seems exceptionally excited as he calls up one of his newer friends; in fact, he's practically wiggling with enthusiasm. Classic "if he was actually a wolf, his tail would be wagging" move.
As such, he hardly waits for her to greet him when she picks up. It's likely the most animated and talkative she's seen him thus far!]
Angel! Something happened! Oh -- something good. Very good. I show you? Oh, and Mari?
[Well that's... a lot. Angel has barely said 'Hello,' before Razor is jumping in. It's... kind of adorable, actually. The enthusiasm draws the attention of some of her nearby Pokemon, namely Skagbait and Adorababy. The Lucario's attention remains on Angel, while Adorababy turns away with a faint huff. Clearly the child has no taste.
Upon hearing her name, though, Mari is quick to trot from the foot of the bed and nestle her head against Angel's shoulder. She bleats softly. She's here too, new friend!]
[Aw, Adorababy... Razor will try to remember to give him attention later. Easier said than done, but for now --
a head pops up like a shark between Razor's arms, turning down to look through the Gear as well, meeting Mari's call with one of its own! The Pokemon's face is certainly like Mareep's, but the colors are all wrong, and it waves its front legs around more like arms.]
Shank! [Angel looks absolutely delighted. Despite she and Mari never having the particular urge to pursue evolution, she'd done plenty of research about the line. She recognizes that pink face and little tuft of fluff atop her head.]
Oh, she looks so charming, doesn't she, Mari? [Mari bleats her enthusiasm. Unlike Adorababy, she can handle sharing the spotlight.]
Congratulations, Razor. That means you must be doing well as a trainer, then?
[Not once or twice, but quite a few times in quick succession, Razor nods.]
She is!
[Though, he seems to revert to being more reserved when the attention is passed to him. His face feels a little warm as he explains,] Maybe -- um, I hope so. I practiced a lot. Learning to say moves. Like... Cotton Guard! And Charge!
[Whether to obey or just to show off, Shank certainly does fluff herself up considerably, then draw in electricity! Razor even laughs once, rubbing his face against her wool to praise her. The sparking between his cheek and her wool... doesn't seem to bother him?]
[This is honestly way too precious. Beside her, Mari follows the commands as well, imitating her evolved counterpart with puffed up wool and sparks alike. Angel recoils as the sheep goes to rub her cheek against her trainer -- but it's not quite fast enough.
In the end, Angel is left in a heap, giggling. She has to wipe at her eyes before turning her attention back to Razor.]
I'm glad you two are making such good friends with one another.
[There's something akin to a smile on his face, as if he's been practicing that too, as he watches Angel fall into a fit. His hands find their way into Shank's wool, petting her and still arcing small jolts of electricity as he does so.]
Yes, very glad. Lightning is... like home? So Shank reminds me. And she is very sweet.
[She certainly is, considering how she's batting her eyes at Mari. Somebody may have a case of hero worship.]
[Before she can respond, Angel has to take a few more deep breaths, settling the remaining hiccups of laughter that emanate from the back of her throat. Beside her, Mari puffs up all the more, clearly a little proud. Judging by the way she tucks her chin down, she's also a little bashful about it, too.]
Lightning reminds you of home? [Angel glances toward Mari. Her fingers stroke through her wool, discharging the last bits of electricity with small little pops.] I think I could understand feeling like that.
[It's a different kind of electricity -- unrefined as it is -- but Angel knows that feeling all the same.]
[Razor nods, even as Shank bleats softly at Mari. Don't be shy, she can back off! It's just that Mari is the only other Mareep partnered with a human she's met.]
Oh, yes. There, I had claws of lightning. Protected my pack with it. It is harder here, but... I'm learning, with my new pack.
Claws of lightning? [Briefly, Angel thinks of Deathtrap. That's... not so unbelievable, she thinks. Or it wouldn't be, for anyone except the technologically inept Razor.
Still, she doesn't look too weirded out, in any case.]
I used to have lightning wings. It sounds like we could have been good friends.
[Her wings weren't lightning, so much as a digital illusion. But explaining that would probably be too much.]
Oh. No, no. It's alright. I, um... don't understand all the time. Sorry.
[The last thing he wants is to make Angel feel guilty. Of course that's what happens if he seeks something as human as reassurance.
At the change of tones, though, Shank blinks back to life and nuzzles first at Razor, then at the Gear. Razor has to gently pull her away so she doesn't short circuit the device -- something that he appears to be quite used to by now.]
Oh, Angel. I saw... you want to challenge Jim. So am I!
[That's the one thing she didn't have to worry about with Krieg. He understood her, even if his own words got jumbled up when he tried to respond. Even with the others psychos, who at least could be reasoned with using local metaphor, had been easier to handle. It's a little different, trying to phrase things in terms that she thinks Razor might understand.]
I am going to be challenging the gyms! I've already gone against a few but... I think I want to complete the whole thing.
[Trying to focus on the matter at hand rather than beat himself up, Razor nods with enthusiasm.]
Mari is strong, yes? She can beat them all! [He rolls his shoulders, flexing like he's seen a knight here or there do to show their strength. It's a bit goofy, like most of his human imitations, but he's trying!]
I think you're right. [Mari bleats her agreement, even if she does look a little unsure. She's strong, but she isn't evolved like Shank is. Surely she would struggle to stand on her own against some of the bigger and badder Pokemon of the Pokemon league.
Angel, on the other hand, is fully confident in her abilities. She ruffles the fluff on her head.]

We can still be friends, right? Lightning or no. And, we have Mari, and Shank. So... still lightning.

I just mean in my previous life. You're already my friend here, Razor!
