I believe so. There were a few scares, but Skagbait, Blitz and Jean all kept me safe enough whenever necessary. She evolved, by the way. Skagbait, I mean.

[!!! He's relieved to hear their friends stuck together, but even if she doesn't mention anything outstanding, he has to ask.]

And they're all alright?

Very alright. Blitz is practically a hero, if you ask me. He and Jean were able to talk down the Electrodes. It was... really amazing.

[Don't tell Jean, but she's almost swooning.]

[He'll probably keep his mouth shut, if only out of respect for her privacy. Maybe he'll bring it up from an anonymous standpoint. Maybe.]

Did they? They seem to have come a long way.

They have. Blitz was very patient with the creatures, and I don't think I've ever seen Jean so calm and collected. It's... nice seeing him grow like that.

[She was quick to nod and even quicker to smile when Anders brought up her own team.]

I was... very worried about Skagbait and I. She is meant to evolve with friendship, but I've had her for so long and nothing has happened. I think we just needed that moment, to prove ourselves to one another.

I've heard of them, but I've never had a Pokemon that evolves that way. [FALSE.] This must be quite a big step for the both of you. It's looking up from here, I'm sure.

We shall see what happens. I am certain we have much more growth to do, but it is good that we've come this far.

I suppose we will.

[Satisfied that everything is alright, Anders relaxes with a sigh, reaching to idly pat the head of a Pokemon offscreen.]

What are your plans following all this excitement?

I'm not sure. [Following Anders' lead, Angel reached out and began stroking at Ciri's head. She perked up a little, and then nosed at the screen a little. Her excitement only grew upon seeing Anders, and a few sharp pix's escaped her as she tried to snuggle him through the screen.]

Silly girl. I think she misses you! [Or maybe just her baby daddy.]

[Anders looks plenty happy to see her as well, giving her a little wave and a warm smile.]

Hello, sweet Ciri. Things are certainly different here without you, but you're in good hands. [Unfortunately, Anders has put Flop on strict bed rest after this nightmarish past week, so he can't come to the Gear...]

[Well, Anders would do, for a time. She quickly scampered off to the side, racing about in a circle as if to show off, before prancing forward. Each of her tails wagged simultaneously as she gazed up at her former owner.]

She's the perfect little creature. I can't thank you enough for gifting her to me.

[Angel and Cirrufina are altogether Too Sweet, and a pleasant break from recent hardships.]

It was my pleasure. I told her all about you -- she was so excited to get to know you.

She's been nothing short of a delight. Perhaps a bit spoiled, but aren't all of my Pokemon? [Somewhere off-screen, Smoosherella lets out a loud meow. Yes, indeed.]

Anders actually laughs, especially at Smoosh's confirmation.]

There's nothing wrong with that, I don't think. Even if they developed attitude problems, you could bat your eyelashes and get them to obey you in an instant.

Hardly true! The other night, Adorababy wouldn't let me give him a bath no matter how many times I blinked at him! [He had, of course, been far more interested in continuing in his games, despite how muddy he had gotten.]

[Gasp!] I don't believe it!

Have you tried using a bucket?

[From somewhere behind the screen, there's a sharp thud, followed by an even sharper whistle. It's enough to startle even Ciri.]

I think he's very opposed to that idea.

[Please forgive him for laughing. For a solid five seconds.]

You'll have to figure something out, then.

And figure it out while he isn't around.

[Finally the Sylveon himself appeared, pouncing into what little room remained on Angel's lap. Ciri let out a slight protest, but seeing as how Adorababy quickly lathered him with attention, said protests quickly petered out.]

[At the commotion, the Pokemon sitting beside Anders peers up, and boy, is Pinsy's expression scathing. She's ashamed to share an animal kingdom with these flagrant attention hogs, even if the affectionate display heals Anders' wounds, cures his depression, and blesses his crops.]

I must say, I'm terribly jealous of the lot of you. [As if he doesn't have cuddly Pokemon too!!]

[It's a good thing Angel can't see Pinsy, lest she find herself accosted by affection from the siren. A pure soul such as herself couldn't possibly see the evil in such a beast.]

Why in Johto would you be, Anders?

[Hey, now, Pinsy never said she doesn't want affection. She just isn't going to beg for it like some sort of desperate peasant. Even Anders is finally starting to get it, stroking her mane without making a big deal about it like he did when he was newer to Johto.]

Why, you all look very comfortable.

[Angel peered up from her growing pile of fluff, a smile on her lips. Comfortable was quite the understatement.]

A shame you can't join us, then. I'm sure they'd all love to see you again, even if it has only been a handful of days.

I'm sure our paths will cross again soon enough. Hopefully under a bit more pleasant circumstances next time. [He loves Angel, and dancing, and buffets, but honestly, fuck "prom."]
