[While it will be rather inevitable during their wedding, Armin doesn't much care for being the centre of attention during any sort of event. A smaller party with just their closest friends is much more his speed than one of those big, over the top celebrations Riegfried and Soy put together.
(Not that he judges them much for it -- unlike the wealthy people of his world, Riegfried and Soy seem exceedingly generous with their wealth -- but it is definitely not his thing)]
I like that idea. We can find something that fits us and the friends we have made here.
[A pause, and then he has to say it.]
I did see some pictures of people getting married on the beach...
[Angel can't help but laugh. It isn't cruel by any stretch of the imagination, more delighted than anything. After everything they had done together, the beach would be the best place for them to be wed.]
Would your Lapras pod be in attendance, then? [Though her tone is mildly teasing, she hopes he'll see that there's a genuine layer of curiosity there. They were one of the most important parts of his existence here -- it would only be fitting if they were.
That line of thought does sober her, a little.]
I know some ceremonies leave vacant seats in memory of those that could not be there. I should think I would like to do that.
Hmmm. [Armin makes a big show of thinking it over.] Perhaps I can arrive on a Lapras. Of course, that might make my Wailords jealous.
[In all honesty, Armin would not think to include them in the ceremony. He cares very much for his Lapras, but at the same time, would a wedding even mean anything to them? Would they just be confused and perhaps bored? Would the little ones get up to shenanigans?
At Angel's next, more sober suggestion, Armin grows quieter too. He definitely had not considered that, but now that the was thinking about it--
Of course, it would be impossible to leave a seat vacant for everybody who couldn't be there. Between the people they've both lost, the friends from their own worlds that aren't here, and the friends they had made that had gone back home, they'd have so many empty chairs (at possibly empty tables!!)]
I'd... I'd like that. A chair for my grandpa, at least.
[It sounds a little silly, but it also seems fitting. Though it did raise the question of how she might arrive, if she wanted to match the mood.
She can tell the way his demeanor shifts after her question, though. She wraps an arm around his waist, giving him a careful squeeze before laying her head against his shoulder.]
Seating arrangements are usually divided by the bride and the groom, I believe. Perhaps an empty seat on either side?
That sounds nice. Though, we have many of the same friends. Should we really divide up the seats in a bride and groom's section? I don't want people to stress over where they might sit. As long as they are there, any seat is fine, right?
[Armin can certainly see the wisdom in having dedicated groom's and bride's section if they had been native to this world, and had perhaps grown up with their own circle of friends and family. But unfortunately, that doesn't apply to them. Only Angel has a living family member in this world, and, well, if it is up to Armin, he'd rather not invite Jack at all!]
[Armin can picture it now. Just a whole bunch of chairs filled with their dearest friends, him and Angel promising to stay together, maybe some Wailords and Lapras beholding the whole event.
Honestly, it feels like something out of a dream.]
Yeah, I like that. I like that a lot.
[Likes it so much, he'd love to pull Angel closer and kiss her. But ah, there is that little hitch of her brushing Adorababy, who, wedding planning or no wedding planning, would absolutely not allow pampering to be disturbed.
Though 'speaking' of Adorababy--]
If I am being attended to by all my Lapras and Wailords, shall Adorababy walk you down the aisle? Or does he picture himself more as a ringbearer?
[The Sylveon glances up at Armin, eyes all but gleaming with a challenge. Or perhaps just hunger? It's hard to say sometimes. But it probably should not be put past him to do it all, if it means being the star of the show.]
It seems only fair. Though I think if I had to choose, he would be the ringbearer. [Angel glances off, toward a hall leading to some part of their home or another. Wherever Skagbait settles when she isn't keeping watch.]
Someone else deserves that honor, don't you think? My most stalwart of protectors?
[At the gleam, Armin feels he should probably give Adorababy a decoy set of rings, just in case. He wouldn't entirely put it past him to decide those rings look far better on him.]
True, we wouldn't want to leave her out.
[And Skagbait would share the spotlight rather than hog it, that's for sure.]
Ah, you know, we've talked about all of this, but somehow we never talked about when we want to get married.

No divisions then, but... for symmetry's sake, a spare chair on either side for both of our loved ones?
