look, you can't let what happened get to you. it's not your fault. it's like that disease that makes you twitch and swear uncontrollably. it's not something you do, or something you make any conscious decision to do. it's something that happens. and most of the time it doesn't. yeah it's weird and scary and can be dangerous, but...look at Pokemon. There's dozens of em that have the same kind of deal.
okay, stop. one, lilith is a lot older than you, she had more time to figure shit out and also she's violent and doesn't have the moral code you do, so you know. not too broken up over accidents while figuring stuff out. and from what i can figure, maya had some crazy death cult helping her. don't think either of those are right for you. they might be great at killing people with their powers, but i'm pretty sure that's not something you want to learn.
and when exactly would you have had TIME or an environment where it was safe to practice your abilities without technological help? i know you're looking at this from your point of view, which is colored by a lot of other stuff, but REALLY think about it. how could you have learned? where could i have taken you? what if there'd been more accidents, 'cause neither one of us get how to control your specific abilities? it's not like it's some failing in you, sweetheart, it was just shitty circumstances.
but ya ask me, ya got a better chance figuring out control here, when you CAN use your powers. there's plenty of pokemon who can do shit like you, and nobody's gonna try and dissect ya over it here.
You never gave me the chance to learn. You locked me up and threw away the key before I could spread my wings. And that's not a pun either so don't start laughing. I failed by virtue of having success removed from the picture.
What about team rocket? They're after power and control over Pokemon? What stops them from snatching me up at some point because they want to harness what I can do? What stops me from hurting my Pokemon, or my friends? I have already done that once.
and what the hell else was i supposed to do? it's not like this is the sort of thing we could've just played around with and see what worked and what didn't. why the hell do you think i started doing all the research on sirens in the first place? to help you.
you're only a siren like six days out of a year. and how would they even know? or know what the hell a siren is? they barely seem to grasp what a useful Pokemon is, from what i can tell. and i told you we would figure something out.
